About TradieCover

Who we are

TradieCover is an independent insurance resource for Australian tradespeople. We're not an insurer, not a broker, and not a financial adviser. We're a small team that got frustrated with the state of insurance information for tradies — too much jargon, too many hidden agendas, not enough practical detail.

What we do

We research the Australian trade insurance market and publish in-depth guides on the cover types that matter most to tradies — public liability, professional indemnity, tools and equipment, income protection, and more. Every article is independently researched with real premium benchmarks, real policy comparisons, and references to actual state licensing requirements.

How we make money

We're upfront about this: some of our guides contain referral links to insurance providers. If you click through and purchase a policy, we may earn a commission. This never costs you extra, and it never influences what we write. We recommend comparing multiple quotes regardless of whether you use our links.

We believe that being transparent about how we earn revenue actually makes our content more trustworthy, not less. You'll always see a disclosure notice on pages that contain referral links.

Our editorial approach

Every guide follows the same principles: cite real numbers (not vague ranges), reference actual legislation and licensing bodies, explain what the policy actually covers (and what it doesn't), and write like a knowledgeable mate — not a brochure. We don't do clickbait titles, and we don't pad articles with filler. If a guide is 3,000 words, it's because the topic needs 3,000 words.
